Dr. Adriana Jarvis Twitchell is a specialist in anxiety, with a focus on strategies for managing music performance anxiety and optimizing stress responses in performance contexts. Her doctoral research explored evidence-based approaches to enhancing performance through stress regulation. Her podcast Calm Your Caveman aims to help individuals understand how to generate beneficial stress responses and downregulate harmful ones. Dr. Twitchell's recent publications include an article in Frontiers in Psychology's 2025 Music Performance Anxiety issue. Dr. Twitchell has also worked as a private teacher and coach for over 30 years. A pianist and founding member of the award-winning Avery Ensemble, winners of the 2016 American Prize in Chamber Music, she remains an active chamber musician and soloist on both piano and harpsichord. She has performed in concert throughout the United States, Israel, Brazil, and Canada.
